GET INVOLVED

Every Little Bit Counts

Ballincollig Tidy Towns love being part of our wonderful community. We are proud to call Ballincollig our home. It is fair to say that the work we do, and success we have achieved, would not be possible without all the amazing support that we receive.

We love taking on people for work experience. Whether you are a college student, Transition Year student, or on a Community Employment Scheme, we greatly value the contribution you make.

Local businesses and clubs that provide staff and members for work days to help us in our endeavours are very much appreciated.

We always welcome new volunteers, and if you are interested in joining us, please read further information below and fill out the form.

Mind Your Own

We fully appreciate that not everyone has the time or availability to volunteer, but every single small bit really helps.

Whether you are a Ballincollig Resident, Business Owner, School or Club - looking after your own patch really has a positive impact on the locality and lightens the load of Ballincollig Tidy Towns.

Volunteering Information

Every Sunday morning a large number of volunteers pick litter from Carrigrohane to Classes, covering the length (and breadth) of Ballincollig for an hour before adjourning for a cuppa and a chat at the Plaza.

From April to September volunteers engage in work nights for just an hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to focus on an identified area. Activities include weeding, planting, watering, sweeping and general maintenance.

There is no commitment, just come along and join in for the hour. However, it is important that all our volunteers are covered by insurance for work being undertaken, this is a key purpose of the volunteer form.
