Ballincollig Tidy Towns Biodiversity Action Plan 2022-2027
We commissioned this Plan in 2020. The BAP was carried out under funding from the Community Foundation for Ireland (CFI) Environment and Nature Biodiversity Grants 2019. This grant scheme aims to enhance biodiversity in communities throughout the country by combining the expertise of qualified ecologists with the skills, experience and enthusiasm of local community groups. We engaged Wild Work to work with us to produce this BAP.
Tesco Site Report (Draft Report)
We commissioned Wild Work to undertake a survey to record plant species at the Old Fort Road Biodiversity Site, which we have taken over the management of.

Coláiste Choilm - School Biodiversity Project - School Biodiversity Plan
One of the recommendations in our Biodiversity Plan was to involve the local schools in projects. To this end, a biodiversity project for the transition year students of Colaiste Choilm was implemented with the purpose of increasing the biodiversity value of the school grounds as well as raising awareness of biodiversity within the school. Transition year students under the supervision of a wildlife biologist and a horticulturist carried out a number of different wildlife projects from January 2019 to May 2019.
